If you follow me, by now you know that I love modern design. However, I have to say that I also love a well done traditional design aesthetic too. Here is a bathroom design that caught my eye! The layout of this bathroom is challenging/awkward, that is not at all unusual when renovating older homes. Depending on the space, sometimes we can really change it up and sometimes we just need to deal with the hand we are dealt. In this particular space the layout is somewhat awkward opening directly onto the tub. However, to combat this and make it feel intentional, the black and brass tub becomes the focal point drawing your attention. The rest of the bathroom uses very traditional and timeless finishes that help create a cohesive and historic feeling space. The other real standout in this bathroom is the marble shower. Cheers to using a slab of marble rather than a glass partition for the walk in shower! I find this to be a very effective way to add drama, style and a touch of privacy as well as function. Let's face it, glass can be a lot of work to keep always spotless, this is an elegant and luxurious solution!
