Fresh clean and modern with an organic feel

This is my take on the modern farmhouse look. Much of the inspiration for this design came from European influences. The color palette is a kept clean and organic. This is the space where you will feel instantly refreshed. Nothing is too fussy and everything is designed to add to the feeling of being relaxed and calm.

I used a white slip-covered sofa that gives a relaxed feel to the room. On this I have an assortment of neutral colored pillows and a throw. In front of the sofa is a simple concrete cocktail table. I have anchored the space with a natural jute rug and surround the seating area with two light colored chairs with architectural oak frames and a one sling style leather chair in a warm natural brown.

The dining room has a simple architectural table surrounded by six rattan chairs in a classic style. A vintage white asian table serves as the side board while a reproduction indian storage chest in black serves as the bar in the living area.

For art work I have chosen one large piece in a very minimalist style and then a collection of nudes in frames. I have chosen to paint the one wall in a gray that is nearly the same as the larger painting and the other walls are coated in a chalky milk finish that feels aged and soft.

Accessories are a mix of mostly vintage pieces from around the world. For lighting I have chosen organic styled pendants to make a statement over the dining table and clean simple floor lamps and wall sconces elsewhere throughout the room.
