Artist Statement
Our lighting work explores the intersection of clay and illumination—two elements that naturally belong together. In the kiln, clay is heated to the point of glowing red hot, but that transformation is usually hidden from view. By integrating light into ceramic forms, we bring that moment back—reintroducing glow, heat, and energy into the finished piece.
We are especially drawn to terracotta for its ability to reflect light in a way that feels elemental—like fire held in form. There’s a warmth, a pulse, a quiet intensity that emerges when light meets clay. It’s not just about function—it’s about revealing something we don’t normally get to see.
This sculptural wall sconce blurs the line between light fixture and art object. Its circular form is softened by the warm, halo-like glow that radiates from within—evoking a solar eclipse or celestial body caught mid-motion.
This terracotta piece adds warmth without overwhelming, and its minimalist geometry allows it to speak volumes in any space. More than a light source, it becomes a focal point—modern, meditative, and deeply atmospheric.
